Abrham Meareg, whose father, an Ethiopian chemistry professor, was murdered after being doxxed on Facebook and targeted by a post that Meta’s own algorithm amplified. Abrham is now suing Meta in the Kenyan courts, demanding algorithmic changes to stop the platform further fueling hate and violence.
Foxglove Co-Executive Director Martha Dark, the litigation non-profit taking on Big Tech alongside partners worldwide, including Katiba Institute, in support of Abrham’s case.
Nora Mbagathi, Executive Director of the Katiba Institute in Kenya, who are representing Abrham in his landmark case against Meta.
Don Migliori, the lawyer who led New Mexico’s case against Meta over harm to children on Facebook and Instagram. The state won nearly $942 million this year, forcing Meta to change how its apps work to reduce harm to children and young people.
