Liz Carolan, Interim Co-Director (Sabbatical Cover)

Liz Carolan is an advisor and strategist working at the intersection of technology, democracy and corporate accountability.

She founded Digital Action, a global campaign organisation demanding better standards for our digital world, and the Transparent Referendum Initiative, a collaborative campaign that exposed foreign interference in elections and helped drive reforms to political advertising transparency.

Trained as a political scientist, Liz has held senior research and advisory roles at the Institute for Government, the Open Data Institute and the Africa Governance Initiative, and now advises European and global initiatives on technology and society from her base in Dublin.
