Please email your MP to raise concerns about the former head of Amazon UK being installed as chair of the CMA

You can find our privacy policy here.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK regulator whose job it is to prevent companies from getting too big and abusing their power.

Rachel Reeves’s decision to sack the chair and install an ex-Amazon man could make it harder to stop Big Tech companies from buying up any company that threatens their monopolies, and extending their stranglehold on new technologies like AI. It means those on the receiving end of Big Tech’s abuses have one less way to fight back.

Please can you email your MP and ask them to raise concerns? Ask them to tell her that allowing Big Tech’s size and power to grow unchecked is not a good economic strategy. It will benefit US-based companies, at the expense of UK users and the UK economy.
