Dan Hartford, South Africa Lead

Dan is based in Cape Town and leads Foxglove’s work there challenging Big Tech companies when they abuse their workers or the planet.

Previously Dan worked as a strategic communications consultant for UNICEF South Africa, leading national public health campaigns, and as a researcher at the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation. He holds an MSc from the University of Edinburgh.

At Foxglove, Dan works closely with our partners, investigates and develops strategy.
